Swearing

Ok, so... I'll start off by saying that I swear... a lot.  I always thought that I swore quite a bit but never really realized how much.  As part of my challenge over the next 900 something days, I thought it would be fitting to go one full week without swearing.  I decided to start yesterday.

Yesterday, I woke up and went to work as normal.  I was groggy in the morning and had a good morning.  Then, my employees came in to the office at the end of a long day in the field and I sat around and chit chatted with them for a bit.  Oopsie.  I let a quick little swear out.  SHIT.  I didn't mean to do it, it just happened.  I had consciously watched my mouth the entire day.

Today, day 2.  I woke up 2 minutes before my 5AM alarm.  Time to start day 1 off on the right foot right?  I didn't even think about my plan for the day to not swear.  It was the first morning that I woke up feeling awake since the time change in November.  For some reason I always have a hard time adjusting.  I had a plan to go to a remote office today so I woke up early, assigned work from home and got on the road to leave.

I usually make coffee at the office.  I have a commuter french press which I use to make my own good coffee at work.  The K-cup machine at work makes weak coffee and costs $1 for cheap nasty coffee.  I have a K-cup machine at home and that costs about .75 cents for the same crappy coffee.

Today, I made my coffee at home using the K-cup machine and didn't even try it until I was in the truck about 10 minutes down the road.  I took a quick swig as I was driving down the road and muttered to myself "shit this coffee's terrible." Day 1 down the drain again.  There's always tomorrow right?
