Today was a great day for me. I went hiking a few weeks ago and now I get to go again. I decided to do a little bit longer hike than the last time out and get some Redlining done.
I hiked Chocoroua via the Liberty and Brook trails. I've now hit The Chocoroua summit 4 times. I love this peak. My wife hates it as every time we hike it she takes a fall and gets hurt but I think it's a beautiful mountain. Today's hike was 8.5 Miles with 2,750' of elevation gain. The trail up Liberty and Down Brook was through a lot of open hardwood forests and being relatively early in the year there were a lot of leaves in the trail making the footing difficult. Overall though, great day.
